Training for Health System and Nursing Leaders

February 20-21, 2025, at the Collaboratory in Fort Myers, Florida

Before you scroll further, take a moment to reflect: Are you truly equipped to elevate your team’s wellbeing, or are lack of resources, outdated practices and tools holding you back? Watch these brief videos first — they reveal the uncomfortable truth behind why so many healthcare organizations struggle to foster workplaces where people genuinely feel they belong, are engaged and included.

With this in mind, see for yourself — take our Workplace Belonging, Engagement & Inclusion Assessment to gauge your organization’s readiness and understand the retention risks if we don’t get this right.

Workforce Belonging and Retention

Why This Matters?

01

Healthcare leadership must start allowing their employees to influence how they work beyond existing standards, based on their own realities and values as individuals. Especially now that employees are consumers with more career options.

02

Contrary to common assumptions, factors such as compensation and flexibility rank lower in their influence on work wellbeing. Instead, it’s the social elements, particularly belonging and inclusion, that are the most influential factors. (Source: Indeed’s Global Work Wellbeing Survey: analyzed by the University of Oxford Wellbeing Research Centre).

03

Legacy leadership models approach reinvention with outdated operating standards that limit how clinical and non-clinical leaders, managers and individual contributors can best influence change at work.

04

Workforce belonging and retention is time-sensitive when you consider the following risk management requirements for healthcare providers: *workforce shortages, *failure to attract & retain top talent, *absenteeism, presenteeism, *accelerated rates of change, *business interruptions, *failure to innovate/meet customer (patient) needs. (Source: *2023 Aon Global Risk Management Survey for Healthcare Providers and Services)

“Glenn is leading a national conversation on personalization in leadership that is long overdue. His passion for encouraging leaders to nurture individuality and unleash the power of connectedness is just what healthcare executives need right now. In healthcare organizations, that means we must be much more focused on both employees and patients as individuals rather than making them adapt to what is convenient for us.”

EVENT PRESS RELEASE

Where Do You Start?
The Environment, the Individual, or Both?

According to GLLG’s comprehensive data analytics, combined with insights from Indeed’s Work Wellbeing Survey (analyzed by the University of Oxford Wellbeing Research Centre) and PwC’s Finding Opportunity in Reinvention Survey, the answer is clear: to reinvent with personalization, we must focus on both.

While they are interconnected, the approach differs. The environment should aim to align business growth objectives with employees’ capabilities, while the individual should focus on unlocking their potential to drive business outcomes. In other words, both the environment and the individual hold equal value in achieving sustainable growth.

2024 Personalization Research Study
(1500+ leaders & managers interviewed in-person)

78% of leaders strongly agree

there is misalignment between their work environment and the unique needs of their employees.

81% of those leaders don’t know how to solve this issue.

79% of leaders strongly agree

they are not reinvention ready as individuals.

69% of those leaders strongly agree they are uncertain of what their current roles should be.

87% of managers strongly agree

that working and learning environments work against individuality.

76% of those managers strongly agree they are being forced to comply with how their company wants them to behave and work.

89% of managers strongly agree

their mindsets at work were not shaped nor rewarded to be agile, resilient, resourceful, transparent, and authentic.

71% of those managers strongly agree their work environment causes unnecessary stress due to conflicting behavioral expectations.

Global Work Wellbeing Report 2024

An analysis of the four work wellbeing indicators reveals that the majority of respondents arestruggling in several key areas.

57% do not agree they feel happy at work most of the time.

57% do not agree they are completely satisfied with their job.

59% agree they feel stressed at work most ofthe time.

48% do not agree their work does has a clear sense of purpose.

Contrary to common assumptions, factors such as compensation and flexibility rank lower in their influence on work wellbeing. Instead, it’s the social elements, particularly belonging and inclusion, that are the most influential factors.

“Glenn is the thought leader to help healthcare leaders understand the need for personalization in a world of standardization. His Leadership in the Age of Personalization methodology is profoundly relevant for healthcare leadership transformation that will reinvigorate organizations to optimize their most important asset—people.”

Teri Fontenot

Public Company Director, Former CEO at Woman’s Hospital

How to Solve?

GLLG’s proprietary Leadership in the Age of Personalization Methodology — rooted in Glenn Llopis’ insights from his five published books (Earning Serendipity, The Innovation Mentality, Leadership in the Age of Personalization, Unleashing Individuality, and Make Reinvention Your Superpower), guides participants through a deeply personalized learning experience.

Methodology

GLLG’s approach is not to push content for participants to memorize; it’s to pull content out of participants so they can sustain the learnings, apply them daily, and influence change across the enterprise.

Training Journey and Experience

1. Complete Assessments and Exercises:

Participants begin by engaging in a series of assessments and exercises designed to uncover individual strengths, capacities, and potential areas for growth. This foundational step is crucial for tailoring the learning experience to each participant's unique needs.

2. 1:1 Personalized Coaching Call:

Following the assessments, participants engage in a personalized coaching call with Glenn Llopis. During this session, Glenn reviews the assessment results, helping participants gain insights into their personal and professional development areas. This step initiates the customization of the learning journey.

3. Design Developmental Opportunities:

Leveraging insights from the coaching sessions, Glenn crafts developmental opportunities that cater to both the group dynamics and individual needs. This dual approach ensures a comprehensive learning experience that addresses collective and personal growth.

4. Create an Environment for Diversity of Thought and Trust:

Glenn fosters an environment where participants feel empowered to express diverse perspectives. By asking pertinent questions and engaging participants at the right moments, he builds a foundation of trust that encourages open dialogue and collaboration.

5. Deep Connection with Content and Peers:

As the program progresses, participants form deeper connections not only with the methodology but also with each other. This camaraderie enhances the learning experience, as participants begin to support and motivate one another.

6. Incorporate Learnings into Facilitation:

Throughout the program, Glenn tailors his facilitation approach by incorporating insights from assessments, exercises, and participants' engagement with the methodology. This ensures that the learning experience remains relevant and impactful for each participant.

7. Participant Ownership and Enhancement:

Participants are encouraged to take ownership of their learning environment, fostering belonging that unleashes individuality with a mindset that propels endless possibilities. This collaborative experience shows the group how to create a work environment that respects unique individual needs.

8. Leadership Identity:

Building on the previous steps, participants engage with scenario-based design-thinking exercises, learning how to self-direct their “reinvention readiness” journey. This experience teaches them how to utilize their leadership “superpower” that has been identified during the program to apply in their day-to-day roles & responsibilities with their teams and across the enterprise.

9. Post-Program 1:1 Coaching

Post-program personalized coaching call with Glenn guides each participant to complete their own personalized playbook. This playbook is a self-directed accountability tool to ensure participants continue to not only apply the methodology in their day-to-day, but also remain disciplined to practice the reinvention cycle of Learn. Unlearn. Relearn. Repeat.

“Glenn Llopis is leading the movement to free healthcare providers from the traps of standardization and unleash the powers of personalization in leadership. He is ahead of time. Glenn’s teachings are for any leader who cares about his or her people—and that should be all of us.”

The Outcomes

The approach for teaching how to foster a work environment of belonging and inclusion is tailored to each participant. As a result, the group can share diverse strategies to cultivate such an environment, encouraging each participant to broaden their own perspectives. The outcome: participants learn multiple ways to:

From Volume to Value

Foster environments that allow employees to align their unique talents with the institution’s growth strategies – driving wellbeing while elevating the organization’s ability to innovate and adapt.

Healthcare C-Suite Roundtables

Empower individuals to embrace reinvention by unlocking their potential while ensuring they are engaged, agile, and ready for the future to accelerate the institution’s growth outcomes.

With both the work environment and unique individual needs in mind at the macro level, the two-day learning experience will help participants solve three time-sensitive opportunities:

Virtual Format

Deconstruct outdated leadership models

and reconstruct new approaches. This will ensure that healthcare leaders and their organizations remain relevant, resilient, and agile in the face of uncertainty.
Network

Align business growth strategies with the true talents of the workforce

This will ensure healthcare leaders are proactive in utilizing their employees' distinct capabilities while further elevating their potential.

Engaged Audience

Design workplace cultures of wellbeing

that create harmony between the work environment and unique employee needs. This will accelerate innovation, increase retention, and attract top talent.

At the micro-level, participants will leave the learning experience with a personalized playbook to share with their colleagues and teams to further scale and position the organization to gain a unique competitive edge that can address a wide array of critical core competencies.
